Creative Arts Drop and Replace

The existing Art building was found to have faults directly beneath the building.  In order for the College to meet the regulatory guidelines set in the Alquist-Priolo Act of 1972, the State has allocated funding for this new construction to take place in an area of campus that has been approved through geological site studies.  

Details:

  • 20,000+ sq. ft.
  • Estimated cost: $28 million
  • Estimated completion date: End of July 2023

Physical Education and Field House Building Replacements

The existing buildings were found to have faults directly beneath the buildings.  In order for the College to meet the regulatory guidelines set in the Alquist-Priolo Act of 1972, the State has allocated funding for this new construction to take place in an area of campus that has been approved through geological site studies.  The new PE building will be constructed in what is now the left field area of the existing baseball field and the Field House will be constructed in the stadium in a location near the former location of the grandstands.

Utility Infrastructure Replacement and Seismic Strengthening (UIR-SS)

The UIR/SS is a fully state funded project that replaces an extensive amount of underground utilities across campus and also provides several system upgrades to the Applied Technology Building.  This larger project is actually 8 smaller projects combined. 

  • Project #1 - complete replacement of the Waste Water Treatment Plant. 
  • Project #2 - installation of two new water storage tanks near the softball field to replace the older tanks located up behind the college. 
  • Project #3 - replacement of the main sewer, water and electrical systems and the construction of a new 12KV infrastructure building.
  • Project #4 - consolidation of the College IT systems into one location which will include backup power. 
  • Project #5 - upgrade to the campus cabling system which carries all data and phone systems. 
  • Project #6 - upgrade of the building fire alarm systems throughout campus. 
  • Project 7 includes an upgrade to the campus energy management system that allows for greater environmental control of campus buildings. 
  • Project #8 - renovation of many areas of the Applied Technology Building that includes ADA, HVAC, Doors/Locks and area roof replacement upgrades.
